Green County Historical Society
Mission, Membership and Meeting Locations:

The Green County Historical Society exists to bring together those who wish to celebrate and preserve Green County's rich and colorful heritage.  The Historical Society was formed in 1963.

Annual Membership Dues are $25.00 for the Green County Historical Society.Members receive four issues of our publication, Green County Review. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 276, Greensburg, KY  42743.

The Historical Society meets the third Monday of each month at 6:00PM Central Time at the Historic Railroad Depot on Depot Street in Greensburg. After a brief business meeting we have a special time of Show & Tell when we share old photographs, letters, artifacts and stories. All are welcome.


Events:

The Historical Society presents a play each fall as a fundraiser.  This year's play is written by local playwright, Lanny Tucker. Information about this event can be found here.

Other Activities:

The Historical Society is responsible for greeting guests at our historic courthouse on the Greensburg Square.  We have several books and publications for sale there. These books and memberships to the Historical Society make wonderful gifts!
