Greensburg Waste Water Treatment
 Waste Water Treatment Plant

The Greensburg Waste Water Treatment Plant was put into operation in June of 1993. The Plant Capacity is 750,000 gpd and is designed to use oxidation ditch technology with chlorine disinfection.  The Waste Water Treatment Plant employs two full time, Class II, operators.

The following is a list of items that should never be put into the sewer system.  

Prohibited Items:

  • Grease and Oil
  • Hazardous Household Chemicals
  • Everyday Waste
  • Paint Products
  • Excess Water

These items can clog and damage lines and pump stations within our system and also create treatment problems at our Waste Water facility. Treatment and repairs are very costly to the City of Greensburg.  Any questions on this matter should be directed to Greensburg Wastewater at 270-932-5703.
