The Fire Department responds to emergency calls including fires of all types:
* Extrication of persons trapped in motor vechicle accidents
* Extrication of persons trapped in industrial and farm machinery
* Control or confinement of leaking materials
* First responder medical aid
The Fire Department sponsors public fire education activities through repsonse to individual questions, home visits, school and civic programs.
